Summary of Job Description:

The Asset Manager works in conjunction with the CFT Real Estate team to develop a comprehensive business and management plan for the firm's portfolio. This includes all aspects of the property life cycle such as normal operations, leasing, capital needs, refinance, repositioning, current/future valuation, market conditions, and all day-to-day management.  This position may have responsibility for a large asset or several smaller assets as well as support more senior Asset Managers.  Responsibilities may include financial analysis related to leasing and financing decisions, leasing evaluation, sales activities, asset and capital improvement budgeting, asset management plans, and property management coordination.


You'll get a chance to:

  • Manage and oversee a large asset or several smaller assets as well as supporting more senior Asset Managers.   
  • Closely monitor financial performance to make operational adjustments and maximize NOI/property value and achieve financial goals (i.e., budget and underwriting). 
  • Work closely with Leasing to manage the marketing, negotiation, and execution of all leases to achieve leasing and income goals. 
  • Work closely with Property Management to manage expenses while maintaining a high-quality property and tenant experience.
  • Responsible for the formulation and execution against property level business plans, budgets and forecasts. 
  • Develop and implement value-add strategies, disposition strategies, and financing strategies. 
  • Work closely with other CFT departments to oversee successful execution of the business plans. 
  • Responsible for regular financial and performance reporting and presentations to senior members, principals, and external parties.
  • Collaborate with the acquisition team on new investment opportunities by assisting in due diligence, providing underwriting assumptions, and transitioning  newly acquired properties.
  • Maintain positive working relationships and partnerships, both internally and externally (e.g., CFT associates, brokers, partners, property managers, and vendors).
  • Stay abreast of market conditions affecting the portfolio by conducting periodic research and market studies, regular site visits and market tours, and developing relationships with relevant real estate professionals (e.g., brokers, operators) to gain market intelligence.

Your background and experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related field required
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience in real estate with increasing project management responsibility.
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
