Summary of Job Description:
The Manager, Data Governance, is responsible for knowing what information the company maintains and how long to maintain it. This position interfaces with all departments to determine business requirements for all information and sets up systems to destroy information at a prescribed timeframe. The Manager, Data Governance coordinates the general records retention policy for each department and prepares their information classification policy.
You'll get a chance to:
- Responsible for knowing what information the company maintain and how long to maintain it.
- Manage associates, contractors, and vendors to implement data governance initiatives and retention policies.
- Interface with all departments to determine business requirements for all information for securing, retaining, and deleting information.
- Set up systems to destroy information at a prescribed timeframe based on information retention policies.
- Write the general records retention policy for each department and prepare their information classification policy, which identify how data is classified in terms of security level and confidentiality.
- Develop technologies that create automated systems for identifying where data exist and managing the data based on its sensitivity.
- Select the most appropriate and best technology.
- Perform Change Management and Incident Response functions with the Cybersecurity Team.
- Perform training and education on Data Governance and security.

Your background and experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum five years of IS or related experience
- CDMP preferred
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred
- IT Security certification preferred
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay Range: $112,500 - $158,000 / Annual
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
