Summary of Job Description:

The HR Compliance Analyst is responsible for collaborating with Compliance leadership to ensure that the company's HR compliance policies and procedures are implemented and documented. This position coordinates the compliance monitoring program and oversees preparation of compliance reports. The HR Compliance Analyst gathers documentation and information requested by internal, external, and regulatory auditors and authorities related to an audit, examination or inquiry. This position collaborates with the Learning & Development department to provide appropriate training and develops compliance training materials for Operations and Support Center associates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of compliance work, from basic to more complex, conducting daily tasks with minimal supervision and ensure compliance with government rules and regulations. 
  • Assist with educating managers and associates on the importance of timely and accurate completion of compliance tasks. 
  • Provide internal and external customer service related to compliance topics. 
  • Lead internal and external audit procedures and follow-up on outstanding compliance tasks to support compliance program initiatives. 
  • Troubleshoot problems and may assist less experienced staff with common questions. 
  • Lead in collaboration with other functions/vendor to address functional/technical issues or to elevate processes.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development department to provide appropriate training and develop compliance training materials for Operations and Support Center associates.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced Call Center associates and feedback to Supervisor as needed. May assist with monitoring new team member's quality of calls/emails. 
  • Monitor and research for legal compliance updates and propose implementation plan to HR management.
  • Identify patterns of issues and keeps management informed of any ongoing compliance issues that require higher level support and guidance for resolution.  
  • Assist the Manager with developing risk management strategies to avoid non-compliance.
  • Lead and collaborate with team members on projects, including developing compliance training materials, updating process documentation, and piloting and implementing process improvement projects for Operations and Support Center associates
  • Coordinate the compliance monitoring program and oversees preparation of compliance reports; gather documentation and information and respond to requests from internal, external, and regulatory auditors and authorities related to an audit, examination or inquiry.
  • May participate in regional HR training meetings and other training projects. 
  • Rotate through Compliance work to gain knowledge and proficiency in each area.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Business or HR major preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in HR with at least one year in Compensation, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment.
  • Successful completion of annual store training


Pay Range: P2: $33.00 - $46.50 / Hour

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
