Summary of Job Description:
The Decentralized Learning Specialist (DLS) is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive and applicable training programs to meet the learning and development needs of store level management within one zone (Store Managers, Assistant Managers, and Chefs). This position collaborates with Regional and Zone leaders to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of individuals and teams, ensuring continuous growth and effectiveness leading to career growth and enhanced business performance. The DLS will work with other departments and the Zone leadership team to assess training needs and develop plans to bridge skills and competency gaps. They will conduct mindset, skillset, and toolset training for store level management within their assigned Zone.
You'll get a chance to:
- Plan, organize, facilitate, and track the field training programs that focus on courses addressing the mindset, skillset, and toolset to elevate the performance of Operations management.
- Modify and enhance leadership learning materials to be appropriate for different Operations management positions.
- Develop, design, and facilitate engaging and relevant learning sessions that align with culture and business needs utilizing various delivery methods including instructor-led, experiential, self-study, e-Learning, in store, classroom, and virtual sessions in the field to provide the most effective training for Operations management.
- Assist Region Leadership teams in assessing and elevating Operations management through people visits, development programs, and meetings.
- Provide mentorship programs to assist in further developing both high performing and low performing Operations management.
- Attend Operations meetings (Area, Regional, Zone) and conduct store visits to provide leadership training for Operations management.
- Support the career growth and development of store level managers through store visits, people assessment and mentorship.
- Mentor and prepare subordinate managers for promotion.
- Provide advice, feedback, and support related to people development.
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies that motivate learning.
- Maximize the effectiveness of training initiatives by staying up-to-date with evolving training best practices, methods, learning tools, and technologies.
- Participate in and supports Operations and Support Center projects as assigned.
- Ensure timelines and deadlines are met.

Your background and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent Operations management experience required
- Minimum five years of Leadership Training, Training Facilitation or Employee Performance Coaching experience
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay Range: P3: $90,000 - $126,500 / Annual
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.

ADA Statement:
While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
