Summary of Job Description:
The Cloud Cyber Defense Engineer evaluates, deploys, maintains, and administers cloud security strategies, configurations, and software. This position interfaces with other Information Systems departments to determine technical requirements for all Cybersecurity systems.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Cyber Defense Analysts to develop security compliance processes and/or audits for external services (e.g., cloud service providers, data centers).
- Configure, test and administer specialized cloud defense strategies, applications and systems (e.g., anti-virus, audit and remediation, VPN, etc.).
- Assist in assessing the impact, and residual risks, of implementing and sustaining a dedicated cloud investment strategy for standard operations.
- Administer test bed(s), and tests and evaluates cloud applications, rules/signatures, access controls, and configurations of platforms managed by service provider(s).
- Identify potential conflicts or gaps with implementation of any cloud defense configurations (e.g., tool and signature testing and optimization).
- Assist with all Governance, Risk and Compliance activities, including various audits or assessments (e.g. PCI, Financial, risk), and documents and maintains records for them.
Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of experience in IT
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred
- IT Security certification preferred
- Successful completion of annual store training
Pay Range: P2: $33.00 - $46.50 / Hour
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
