Job Skills / Requirements Job Functions:
- Report directly to the Branch Manager.
- First contact for the Operations Department, Zone Supervisors, Site Supervisors, Clients, and field staff in the event of emergency, incident, or inquiry.
- Responsible for liaison activities between emergency services, staff, local authorities, and regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Verify and maintain contractual training and orientation requirements for staff on all sites including accurate usage of notebooks, review daily report sheets, staff deportment (uniform; grooming; equipment; and PPE) and ensure a valid Alberta security licence present on all staff.
- Required to oversee all aspects of OH&S program on all sites, including WCB and First Aid reporting, Accident Investigations, and Near Miss Reporting.
- Monitor, identify, and report and health or safety deficiencies on sites and communicate and represent safe work practices.
- Review, approve, and follow up with all incident reports as necessary.
- Assist Mobile Security staff requiring back up on incident/alarm calls and response, including dangerous dispatches and uncooperative site removals.
- Provide frontline staff with additional facilitation and training as necessary.
- Ensure the maintenance of Tracktik checkpoints, compliance, and logistics and audit via TrackTik (back end) Software.
- Develop relationships with all Paladin employees building rapport and demonstrating strong leadership while supporting employee development.
- Ensure adherence to the policies outlined in Paladin's Code of Ethics and Employee Manual.
- Relay disciplinary concerns of field agents to the appropriate Manager.
- Maintain email and telephone communication between Operations, Healthcare Operations, Zone & Site Supervisors, Healthcare Zone Supervisor and the management team addressing all in a timely fashion.
- Regularly meet with and brief Management on ongoing field and mobile operations.
- Coordinate with Operations the shift coverage for Paladin team absences and book offs as required to maintain operations and client service standards.
- Complete other duties as necessary at the request of Management
- Valid Alberta Security License.
- Prior security experience required and mobile security experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, security, and protection of privacy.
- Valid Class 5 non-GDL license with a clean 3-year driver's abstract.
- Certified Protection Officer (CPO) through IFPO preferred.
- Must have strong leadership, time management and organizational skills.
- Proven capacity to exercise sound independent decision-making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Proficiency in WinTeam Software and Tracktik an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
High School Diploma/GED
