Job Responsibilities 

  • Dispatch and Response: Monitor alarms and incidents, dispatching appropriate responses as required. 
  • Reporting: Document all incidents and activities thoroughly into comprehensive reports.
  • Escalation: Escalate urgent situations to appropriate stakeholders as required.
  • Emergency Procedures: Ensure adherence to emergency protocols (e.g., bomb threats, fires, break-ins) and guide response actions.
  • Emergency Services Liaison: Coordinate with local emergency services and client personnel as needed during incidents.
  • Briefings: Provide updates and briefings to management, supervisors, and staff during and after incidents.
  • Patrolling: Conduct regular security patrols as required to ensure the safety and security of the site.
  • Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support site operations.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to work efficiently with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word).
  • Multitasking: Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tracktik Knowledge: Familiarity with Tracktik or other security management software is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is a strong asset.
  • Customer Service: Superior professionalism and customer service skills, especially when interacting with clients, staff, and emergency services.
  • Independent and Teamwork: Ability to function independently while also collaborating effectively with a team during critical situations.
  • Previous Experience: Prior experience in an operations center is preferred.
Job Requirements 

  • Experience: Previous experience in a control room environment, including familiarity with CCTV systems and access control systems.
  • Security License: Valid security license for the province of Ontario is required.
  • First Aid Certification: Valid (WSIB Approved) First Aid Certificate Level C.
  • Use of Force (UoF) & MOAB Certification: Candidates must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB).
    • Note: Applicants who do not possess these certifications can join Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program before onboarding. Please note: This training is unpaid, but Paladin will cover all costs with a 6-month commitment to the position.
