Job Skills / Requirements The Zone Supervisor is accountable to the Field Manager and, ultimately, the Senior Client Service Manager, the position is responsible for the overall quality of security delivery, client retention rate, departmental morale, and overall efficiency of all the Security Operations in Calgary. The Zone Supervisor is always expected to represent management in a positive fashion and is critical in the efficient field operation of the department. This position is a Part-Time position.
Job Skills/Requirements
1. Provide written recommendations for efficiencies to the ALL LEVELS/DEPARTMENTS of management to enhance service levels to Paladin's clients and improve the employee experience. 2. Create and maintain a positive morale within the department focusing on building a team environment and inclusive culture. 3. Communicate all client and management expectations effectively whilst nurturing a team-based approach to problem solving. 4. Set an ideal example for all staff through consistent professionalism and expertise. 5. Ensure all officers are adequately trained and prepared utilizing the employee orientation package. 6. Supervision to ensure all Specials are operating efficiently and maintaining the ability to remain flexible. 7. Provide operational support and guidance to guards in the field encompassing incident response. 8. Elevate all officer concerns to Management or MANAGER of the site and follow up with officers regarding concern resolution. 9. Conduct a minimum of 6 nightly Quality Assurance checks on officers to ensure Paladin standards are being met. 10. Liaise with all available CSM's via e-mail to obtain direction, special requests, and convey field information directly. If not available in person, via e-mail. 11. Training and mentoring of all staff including the administration of employee annual performance reviews, rotational and monthly accolades, and/or verbal discipline; all with management input and authorization. 12. Remain professional and courteous when communicating with all client service and employee management aspects. 13. General departmental administration as required including nightly shift reports. 14. Bring all potential issues to Management's attention for resolution. 15. Conduct 6-10 site visits per shift. 16. Handle officer enquiries and requests personally; liaise with management for resolution; and communicate findings to staff as required. 17. Provide required transports and equipment drop offs when requested. 18. Liaise with Field Management team to ensure Paladin's business needs are met. 19. Performs any other duties as determined by operational need.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid security license
- Holds a full Class 5 drivers license, and can provide a clean drivers abstract for the last three years
- Computer proficiency and able to easily assimilate knowledge of site systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Dependable & Professional in all job functions
- Proven ability to work in a team environment where collaboration and change is frequent.
- Possess CPO designation or is in the process of completing in the future. (Good for future advancement to FM or CSM) - 1 year of security experience
- A combination of relevant experience and education. Preference will be given to applicants who have mobile security and/or supervisory experience. Education Requirements (Any)
