Summary:

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all Travel Advance, virtual credit card, and reimbursement request transactions according to established accounting rules and regulations. 


Responsibilities:

* Establish a working knowledge of the Travel Advance financial subsystem module.
* Assist with the reconciliation of all applicable Travel related accounts including credit cards, prepaid, and Travel advances.
* Enter accurate transactions into applicable financial subsystem and associated financial technology solutions.
* Establish a general working knowledge of a variety of financial system modules including, but not limited to: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Travel, Intra-tribal and Financial Institution.
* Close the Travel Advance subsystem on a daily basis and monthly basis, ensuring month end cut offs are met and transactions are recorded in the correct accounting period.
* Prepare and distribute reports to business units, management, and outside agencies as needed.
* Always provide excellent customer service skills to include, but not limited to, addressing customer and employee needs courteously and promptly.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures and provide improvements to management as needed.
* Collaboratively participate in staff meetings.
* Keep up to date on current GSA and IRS approved travel and per diem rates.
* Provide excellent accounting support and assistance to include but not limited to receiving, organizing, and summarizing data; data entry; preparation and distribution of reports; and conduct research as necessary.

Essential:
* Meet daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly accounting deadlines
* Interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds
* Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to write clear and concise reports and correspondences
* Organizational skills
* Working knowledge of computerized Travel systems, virtual credit card and on-line financial institution systems
* Knowledge of word processing, statistical, and data base programs
* Ability to work independently on regular recurring daily tasks and responsibilities
* Must be detail oriented and able to work with a high level of accuracy

* General Ed, High School Equivalency Diploma, HS Diploma

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
