After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

This position will support the Public Works Division (DPW) in the selection, maintenance, administration, and training for technology and software. This hands-on role will work with the various departments in Public Works to help them effectively and efficiently utilize technology. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.


Responsibilities:

* Identify opportunities to automate processes and modernize systems.
* Work collaboratively with (DTS) Digital Technology Services counter parts on integrations, interfaces, shared systems, and other digital technology services.
* Execute the implementation of software solutions through actively leading cross functional teams to determine requirements, review and modify processes as well as assure adequate systems knowledge is gained by users.
* Assist with administration of Facilities Software including work requests and data management.
* Provide support to other business areas that use (DPW) Department of Public Works data in their systems and reporting.
* Maintain and support software. Establish and refine requirements for software application and use, including security parameters.
* Develop and execute testing to ensure successful software patches and upgrades/updates.
* Create accurate reports and files in a timely manner to meet customer requirements.
* Assist users with software application questions as well as provides on-going training and “tips” to allow users to be more effective within the HR data base.
* Responsible for administration of software within the division
* Assist departments within DPW to maintain website pages current and effective.
* Partner with external partners to continue to enhance the system and provide a better user experience.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
