Summary:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the membership area to include customer relations to internal and external customers, administrative tasks, promoting facility programs and services, membership sales, database, and file management. Work all shifts to accommodate facility operating hours, which may include weekends, holidays and 1st and/or 2nd shift.
Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers, to include answer and screen incoming calls and correspondences; exercises judgment and respond accordingly. Communicate to all age groups in a professional and respectful manner.
* Monitor membership desk to ensure facility access is restricted to current and active members, and/or authorized internal and external customers.
* Assist and process new and renewed memberships to include distributing membership information, create membership cards, data entry, and maintaining membership files.
* Communicate and enforce membership and facility policies to ensure a safe environment for all.
* Promote Oneida Family Fitness programs and services to include services offered within the Oneida Community.
* Organize, maintain, and clean/sanitize membership/lobby area to include displays for sale items, membership desk, vending machine, tables and floors, supply, and mailbox area.
* Conduct proper cash handling of all membership, program and services, pro shop, and vending sales through the membership software system. Learn all entities of the membership system as needed/required.
* Learn all entities of the membership system to include balancing cash drawer daily and nightly accounting deposit/paperwork
* Attend staff and team meetings and trainings as required.
* Assist Member Services Manager with training of other Member Service Specialists with job duties and responsibilities as need/required.
* Contribute to a team effort to complete daily tasks to include, membership processing, data entry, records and log retention, pro shop and vending inventory, facility communications, and maintaining facility supplies.
* Maintain accurate records and assist with report processing through the membership software system to include Assisting with the development membership incentives/challenges
* Make recommendations to enhance the efficiency of the membership operations.
* Transmit outgoing faxes, and retrieve, log, and distribute incoming faxes.

* Assist and complete injury/accident reports and narratives in an accurate and timely manner.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills. Handle high pressure and/or multiple situations in a professional manner. Notify Supervisor of situations as required.

Essential:
* High School Diploma, HSED Diploma or GED Certification wi
* Applicants age 50 and older are exempt from this requirement

* Complete Oneida Certification on Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect training within ninety (90) days of employment.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
