After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Perform a variety of administrative and staff support duties which requires exceptional customer service and a range of skills and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Assist and direct visitors; resolve administrative problems and inquiries; perform data entry; compose, edit, and proofread correspondence and reports; and prepare a range of administrative documents.


Responsibilities:

* Answer incoming telephone calls; determine purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department, ensuring professional telephone etiquette.
* Screen incoming calls and correspondence; exercise judgment and respond accordingly; receive sort, log, and route mail.
* Record and deliver messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate.
* Welcome visitors determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel, maintaining professional and courteous demeanor.
* Arrange travel, prepare and submit travel-related documents, and maintain travel information as necessary.
* Prepares correspondence, reports, minutes, agendas, memos, forms, directories, resolutions, ordinances, and other documents and communications from drafts, recordings, or verbal instruction as requested.
* Review and edit all correspondence and documents for correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
* Create and develop effective presentations as requested.
* Intake and enter all job applications submitted to the Human Resource Department.
* Schedule department events and activities; manage departmental calendar.
* Attend meetings and take minutes as requested.
* Conduct research to resolve operational questions or issues; make recommendations to enhance the efficiency of administrative operations.
* Establish and maintain an effective filing and retrieval system
* Maintain and operate office machines, equipment, and computers. Perform or coordinate general maintenance and repair
* Photocopy, collate, distribute, and file documents.
* Transmit outgoing faxes, and retrieve, log, and distribute incoming faxes.
* Maintain inventory of office supplies.
* Learn and contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required

Essential:
* General Ed, High School Equivalency Diploma, HS Diploma
* Applicants age 50 and older are exempt from this requirement
* A Combination of Experience and Education May Be Considered
Nonessential:
* Associates Degree

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
