Job Description
Preparation of materials and products for testing
Routine tests of raw materials, calculation of results and preparation of test reports
Support manufacturing team in producing the highest quality products
Calculate adjustments needed to correct the product as necessary
Perform production material testing throughout shift
Perform product reject analysis
Inspect finished goods
Ensure all products meet ASTM standards
Maintenance and housekeeping of assigned areas and equipment
Assist site leadership maintain EH&S program
Routinely inspect/observe plant equipment and activities for safe processes
Prepare and submit required reports to site leadership and EHS Manager
Support compliance of EH&S regulations
Assist with Safety toolbox talks
Maintain PPE and first aid supplies
Participate in monthly safety committee meeting
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Requirements
Manufacturing/Industrial environment exposure preferred
Follow all safety procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge of ASTM standards for manufactured concrete products preferred
Ability to perform basic math calculations
Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and directions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance manuals
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds each at heights up to 4 feet high
Ability to wear personal protective equipment - Ear plugs, hard hat, steel toe shoes and protective glasses
Maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments
