- Patient Diagnoses: Multi-trauma, seizure, GSW, Falls, TBI, stroke, sepsis, psych, epidural hematomas, epidural hemorrhage, cerebral edema, Ortho related trauma- not elective, encephalopathy
- Neuro Surgery experience is also required
- Major Trauma unit
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Craniotomy, Spinal Fusions, ORIF, muscle flaps, skin grafts, AKA, BKA, IM nails, external fixators, spinal stimulators
- Special Equipment: Traction, external fixators, trapeze, PCA pumps, JP drains, wound vacs, Chest tubes, ortho braces, hemo vacs, central lines, trach, PEG, NG tubes
- Job Requirements
- Required Certs and Skills: BLS, Blood product administration, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Pre/Post Neuro surgery, TBIs, Ortho trauma, Surgical drains, Chest tubes, Isolation precautions
- Preferred Certs: ACLS & NIH
- Schedule Information
- Every other holiday
- Float requirement: Can be pulled to all other inpatient units
- Unable to guarantee any specific scheduling requests (e.g., block scheduling) schedule as needed per unit
