Excellent opportunity to join a growing team of Physicians! The Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery in the Department of Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking a fellowship-trained Trauma and Surgery Critical Care Surgeon to join our ACS-COT verified, NY State designated Level 1 Trauma Center. The successful candidate will possess outstanding clinical skills, a strong interest in education and research, and must qualify for a faculty appointment at New York University Long Island School of Medicine (NYULISOM). Responsibilities will include trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery coverage at a rapidly growing tertiary care center. Opportunities for elective general surgery exist and are encouraged. Robust clinical and basic science research opportunities are also available and strongly encouraged. NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is the main campus for the NYU Long Island School of Medicine, one of the few free and three year medical schools in the US. It is the site of several training and academic programs including internal medicine, Urology, Orthopedics, Radiology and of course General Surgery. We have previously served as the rotation site for senior and junior residents of Stony Brook University School of Medicine Surgery program, a clear indication of the vast operative experience. This is an exciting time for the institution and successful candidates will have the opportunity to demonstrate strong leadership qualities. QUALIFICATIONS - * Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery * Board certified/Eligible in Surgical Critical Care Fellowship trained Additional training in an ACS fellowship highly desired The salary range will be 275k—335k. Call coverage is paid extra. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
