    Job Details
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
  • Traveler Experience: REQUIRED

  • Skills: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration
  • Ratios: 1:3-4.
  • Shift: Nights 36 or 48 hours. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48. 13 Weeks
  • Float Requirement: will float to anywhere a PCU nurse can float- i.e. ED-IP, medical, surgical, or cardiac floors. May float to ICU to take a PCU appropriate assignment.
  • Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule period
  • Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
  • PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We are a mix of medical, cardiac, surgical, trauma patients.
  • SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Stepdown experience should be required but Prefer some ICU experience as PCU at NHRMC is very similar to some rural ICUs level of care. Candidates need ventilator experience and competent in managing and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
  • UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
  • SCHEDULING TYPE: Self-scheduling
  • UNIT ORIENTATION: 40 hours
  • SCRUBS: Navy and White
  • INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY: Manager will not offer without speaking to the candidate first.
