  • Traveler will work with the CNRO (Centralized Resource Nursing Pool), floating between several medical, surgical, and telemetry units
  • Patient Diagnoses: Assisting in caring for patients held in our ED who are inpatient
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID. Expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
  • Medication, Documentation, Communication Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
  • Unit Orientation: 24hrs (2 shifts)
  • Scrub color: Navy
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
  • Skills: 1 year Med/surg
  • Certs: BLS
    Schedule Information
  • Scheduling type: Based on scheduling gaps
  • Shift: 12hr NIGHTS 36 ONLY -- will accept 13-26 week contracts
  • Maximum RTO (Requested Time Off): 7 days
  • Float Requirement: Yes, to three different campuses as needed and notified 2hrs before the start of the shift
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • **Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster
    Unit Specific Information
  • Patient ratios and shift details may change during times of increased census or organizational needs
  • Detail-oriented tasks such as medication administration and patient documentation via EPIC system
  • Communication protocol: SBAR
  • Attire: Navy scrubs
