    Certification Details
  • Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start
  • Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS.

  • WILL CERT FOR CHEMO
  • will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patients
  • Target Ratios: 1:6-7
  • SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.
  • General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.
  • PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
  • Daily Census 42
  • High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
  • Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.
  • Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
  • Charge nurse experience.
    Job Requirements
  • REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP
  • Skills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required
  • Certs: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start.
    Schedule Information
  • Shift: NIGHTS; 36 13-26 weeks accepted
  • RTO: 7 days MAX; DAYS; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48. 13 weeks accepted
  • Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
  • Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
  • Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
  • Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.
    Unit Specific Information
  • SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.
  • UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
  • UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)
  • General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population.
    Additional Details
  • Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.
  • PATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.
  • UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)
  • SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.
