- Certification Details
- REQUIRED: ACLS, BCLS, NIH certifications.
- Experience with IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation is required.
- Certifications through AHA or American Red Cross Only.
- PER DIEM ONLY: Required for Telephone Triage/Call Center and Non-Clinical positions.
- MOAB is required for all ER and BH nurses.

- RTO after booking is NOT allowed.
- Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR.
- NO BLOCK SCHEDULING.
- Target Ratios: 3:1 or 4:1.
- Unit will accept contracts from 13+ weeks up to March 15, 2025 to get the Unit through the Holidays!
- 36 or 48 Hours can be offered. If Accepting 48 Hours, No OT will be billed until After 48 Hours.
- 12 HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15.
- RTO: 7 days MAX for Aya Auto Offer.
- Float Requirement: Floating required as needed to sister unit which is an ICCU also.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
- Patient diagnoses: ADC:18 with 20 Beds. ICU stepdown. Post rapid response team patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, post-op: GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomies, neuro, ortho surgeries. Pre/post OB with complications (Pitocin).
- Patient age from adolescent, adult, geriatric.
- Special procedures/unit details: Only one pressor drip per patient, any more and they're transferred to ICU. Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo drips given on unit.
- Special equipment needed: Bedside telemetry monitors with remote backup, A-lines, BIPAP's, chest tubes, trachs. No vents on unit.
- Unit systems in use: Pyxis and Epic.
- SCRUBS: Navy, White or a combination of the two.
- Internal Notes: Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to the start for this specialty.
- Job Requirements
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 yrs of experience needed.
- Accepts 1st-time travelers.
- Locals Accepted/Rate Difference: Yes.
- Required Skills: Must have experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, IV insulin protocols, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin Protocols, CVA, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions.

- PER DIEM Required for Telephone Triage/Call Center.
