- SHIFT: 12HR NIGHTS
- *All missed shifts should be made up within the same week if possible; if not, time should be added to the end of the contract to make up the missed shift
- **Holidays are required if not pre-approved off by unit during offer process.
- FLOATING REQUIRED as needed, expectation would be to float to the sister unit which is 5th West ICCU (same patient population).
- EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
- PATIENT DIAGNOSES: The 1st floor Intermediate Critical Care Unit provides specialized care for patients with potentially life-threatening health problems such as unstable hemodynamics, surgical patients, neurological complications, detox/withdrawal, respiratory distress requiring non-invasive respiratory support, and titration of selected vasoactive medications.

- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year of Experience (must include critical care and/or intermediate critical care experience)
- Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers
- Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
- Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, Titration of Cardiac Drips

- Unit Specific Information
- The 1st floor Intermediate Critical Care Unit is an exciting 20-bed unit that exists to provide specialized care for patients with potentially life-threatening health problems.
- SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: The unit is now taking COVID-19 patients and travelers will be expected to care for them. Only one pressor drip per patient, anymore and they're transferred to ICU.
- Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo drips given on unit. Our ICCU manages titratable drips, non-invasive ventilation, intermediate protocols so candidates should have this experience.
