Northwell Health's Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine is seeking an BE/BC Internist, Family Medicine physician, Geriatrician and/or Palliative Medicine physician to join the Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation in Manhasset, New York.

The Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation is an award-winning 252-bed academic, skilled nursing facility providing short-term sub-acute inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. It is ranked as one of the top nursing facilities in New York State. Awarded a five out of five-star rating for overall quality from the federal government's U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is in the country's top 10% of nursing facilities. In addition, Stern has received top ranking by Newsweek in their Best Nursing Homes 2022 Report and by US News & World Report in their Best Nursing Homes 2022-2023 publication.

Highlights Include:

  • Practice in an award-winning facility with an interdisciplinary team of employed and voluntary physicians, ACPs, and support staff
  • Support a 31-bed Sub Acute Unit
  • Participate in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Collaborative research opportunities at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research

The ideal candidate will be board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with subspecialty training and/or board certification in Geriatrics or Hospice and Palliative Medicine and will have an interest in academics, stimulating cases, transitional care, and sub-acute rehabilitation.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
