Cohen Children's Medical Center, the major pediatric teaching hospital of The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, seeks a Board Eligible/Board Certified Clinical Geneticist to join our Division of Medical Genetics and Human Genomics. Our mission is to transform care by integrating genetics into routine clinical use at Cohen Children's Medical Center and throughout Northwell Health.
Our team is comprised of clinical geneticists, genetic counselors, nurse practitioners, social workers, dieticians, research scientists, and bioinformaticians. We offer numerous opportunities to contribute to the care of patients, the advancement of science, and the education of the next generation of Genetics professionals. We are vastly expanding our pediatric and adult clinical genetics/genomics programs, focusing on:
- Prenatal genetics
- Pediatric genetics
- Cancer genetics
- Neurogenetics
- Cardiogenomics
- Metabolic disorders
The successful candidate will be either a clinician or physician-scientist dedicated to a career in academic medicine. An academic appointment will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
Cohen Children's Medical Center opened in 1983 as the New York metropolitan area's only hospital designed exclusively for children.
