This Scheduling Clerk/PT Aide position is full time @ 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient Monday thru Friday dayshift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic Scheduling Clerk/PT Aide to work in our outpatient Physical Therapy office who will provide direct/indirect patient care in the outpatient physical therapy setting. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Prepares and compiles records in the outpatient physical therapy department. Initiates directions from physician and physical therapy staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Responsible for obtaining all pertinent information including demographic and insurance information. & creating new patient accounts.
* Responsible for sending all referrals to the insurance verifier and calling all patients in a timely manner.
* Able to assist the insurance verifier if needed, obtaining insurance authorizations within specified time limits.
* Informs patients and/or family of insurance coverage and estimated balance due by patient, according to procedure.

Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Current BLS certification
Scheduling experience required
Insurance experience required.
