This Lead Admissions Representative is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient swing shift schedule.

Job Summary: Performs the frontline supervision of the Emergency Registrars. Ensures that all patient registrations are accurate and complete, schedules employee work time, time off & sick time management, proper training of new hires and ensures that optimal patient relations and performance standards are maintained.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for the frontline supervision within specialty area by overseeing the daily work, completing, updating and making necessary changes in the work schedule, sick time management, assists in training new procedures to employees, assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions and acts as a liaison to the admitting Supervisor and department Manager.

* Verifies the patient's insurance coverage to ensure prior authorization is done if needed
* Maintains efficient communication with other hospital departments to facilitate the admissions process.

Remain current on specific changes and requirements relating to the various insurance carriers by maintaining constant communication with other areas of the business office and the insurance carriers.

Qualifications

* High School graduate or equivalent.
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.
* Basic knowledge of insurance billing helpful.
* Minimum of two years experience in medical billing, collections, insurance, coding required.
* Medical terminology preferred.
