At NorthBay Health the Practice Manager, Cardiology Outpatient Clinic coordinates and leads all functions related to Heart & Vascular out-patient services  This individual is responsible for determining practice strategies by conducting needs assessments, performance reviews, capacity planning, and cost benefit analysis; identifying and evaluating new/advanced technologies; monitoring and achievement of all departmental access standards; meet financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual budget, and initiating corrective action plans. 



Qualifications

  1. Education:  Baccalaureate Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Management required or minimum of 8 years of healthcare management experience.  
  2. Experience: Minimum of 4 years  of progressive supervisory experience in an ambulatory care or medical practice setting required. Previous experience working with a large group of providers. Previous budget accountability and management experience preferred. Minimum of 4 years of previous experience in Patient Access, telecommunications, and/or utilization management with working knowledge of health care practices. Working knowledge of health plan access requirements. Previous experience managing non-traditional access hours across multiple locations preferred. Cardiology experience is preferred. 
  3. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.  Must possess teaching and leadership ability, with high professional standards.  Must be well organized, be able to set priorities, work independently as an effective team member. Demonstrates effective time management skills.  Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends, LEAN and healthcare regulatory and compliance initiatives.  Knowledge of Cerner preferred. Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliances processes required (Joint Commission, OSHA).
  4. Compensation: 

  • Annual salary range is$90K - $140K offered salary based on years of practice management experience. 
  • Incentive Bonus eligible, up to 15% of the annualized salary
