At NorthBay Health the Office Supervisor SDI is responsible for the business office functions for this free-standing diagnostic imaging business.  For multiple outpatient diagnostic imaging sites and multiple modalities, coordinates clerical support functions; coordinates clerical staff schedules and assignments; ensures the efficient flow of information; manages the use of the information systems; and provides staff relief for all front office and back-office support positions. Directs patient scheduling, registration, acquisition of patient pre-billing information functions, submission of patient billing information to the outsourced billing service vendor, development and maintenance of relationship with billing vendor, and film library support including CAD scanning, mammography tracking, and image distribution.  Maintains business and regulatory compliance.  Supervises specific marketing activities, coordinated with Director, with physician offices that refer patients for exams.

The Supervisor performs Bone Density procedures limited to the scope of certification, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis at technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.  Demonstrates the ability to meet the needs and provide service to all applicable patients.



Qualifications

Education:  

  • AA Degree or four years of experience in day-to-day imaging facility supervision/management.

Licensure:  

  • Current AHA or equivalent healthcare provider BLS Certification required.  California State limited license for Bone Density exams

Experience:  

  • Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred. Minimum 4 (combined) years of experience required, with a minimum of one year in each of the following areas:
    • Diagnostic radiology operations
    • Supervisory / Managerial
    • Medical related billing and collections 
    • Must have extensive knowledge of:  CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS, RBVS, Medicare, Medical and private insurance billing guidelines.  Medical and PC technology preferred, including experience in Diagnostic Imaging software.

Skills:  

  • Proficient (advanced knowledge) in computer terminology and understanding of computer logic. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office related programs a must; typing 60 wpm; excellent writing skills. 
  • Project coordination and logistic abilities/skills required. 
  • Good judgment to work in an orderly manner under pressure.

Interpersonal Skills: 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills dealing with co-workers, MD's and clients. 
  • Conflict resolution skills preferred. Excellent written and verbal skills

Compensation: 

  • Hourly pay range: MIN $37.39 - $41.25 per hour.
