NorthBay Health is seeking a Board Certified, Licensed Interventional Gastroenterologist to practice in our highly regarded health system in Northern California. Position Overview: 

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Dedicated procedure time
  • Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities:  Balanced distribution of inpatient and outpatient care
  • Call Ratio: General call and Interventional call responsibilities
  • Daily Patient Census: Manage a consistent daily patient load
  • Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive resources
  • Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs) (details on the number of physicians vs. APPs can be provided upon inquiry)

Primary responsibilities :

  • Perform a variety of interventional GI procedures, including ERCP, EUS, and advanced endoscopic techniques
  • Provide general gastroenterology care
  • Utilize advanced imaging modalities and navigational tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment
  • Evaluate and manage patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions
  • Collaborate closely with referring physicians and other specialists
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards
  • Provide patient education and counseling
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and educational activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system


Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board-certified in Gastroenterology
  • Fellowship-trained in Interventional Gastroenterology 
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state
  • Proven experience in interventional gastroenterology procedures
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
