Description
Performs all the duties of Certified Phlebotomy Tech Outpatient (which includes phlebotomy and facilitating the flow of information into and out of the lab by interacting with the public using computer systems, delivering reports and answering mail and the phones). The CPT Outpatient Lead monitors trains new personnel, performs initial steps in troubleshooting problems, complaints and provides feedback to Laboratory Director and Supervisor. Takes a lead in promoting the initiatives of the organization and department.
Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Licensure: Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) certificate or higher Phlebotomy (CPA) Laboratory license (MLT/CLS) issued by the state of California.
Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in an acute care hospital.
Skills: Phlebotomy skills. Basic medical terminology, typing, math and computer skills. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal.

Compensation: $32.17 - $35.46 per hour based on experience level.
