• Unit Profiles: The purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit.
• Postpartum unit located in North Austin Medical Center, Women's Center, Floor 2
• Facility Department Number: 660
• Number of Beds - 97
• Number of Staff – ~130FTE's
• Day Shift - 1 charge, 2 co charge, typically around 20 RN's, PCT varies
• Night Shift - 1 charge, 2 co charge, typically around 20 RN's, PCT varies
• Patient Ratios – 1 RN to 3-4 couplets. Try to stay at 1-3 couplets
• Type of equipment: Panda Warmer
• EMR – CPN and Meditech
• Permanent Positions on Unit Available ? (Y/N) – Y
• Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
• Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Infant labs, Circumcision (assist in), Frenotomy (assist in)
