JOB DESCRIPTION

Nemours Children's Health (NCH) Cardiac Center Orlando is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join our team in the Comprehensive Cardiac Care Unit (CCCU). NCH is a leading healthcare institution dedicated to providing exceptional care to our neonatal, pediatric and young adult patients and their families in Central Florida. Our 20 bed Comprehensive Cardiac Care Unit (CCCU) is renowned for its comprehensive approach to treating children with congenital heart defects and other cardiac conditions. We offer state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology, and a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care. Our admission-to-discharge unit and collaborative care approach leads to exceptional outcomes and provider satisfaction.

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing round-the-clock care, coordinating treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. There are many opportunities to get involved in education, quality improvement/process initiatives, and research. The position may include an appointment at an appropriate rank in the clinical or academic faculty at the University of Central Florida School of Medicine.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine or Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care.
  • Valid medical license in the state of Florida (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
