We're currently seeking a Trauma Surgeon for The Department of Surgery at The Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) to join the Department in the Division of Trauma, Critical Care on Long Island, New York.
The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and strong potential for a successful career in patient-oriented research. Applicants should be fellowship trained, board eligible or board certified in general surgery with added qualifications in surgical critical care. In addition to research, responsibilities include sharing call on the trauma surgery service as well as the SICU. The ideal candidate should have a strong clinical background and continuing interest in management of both trauma and non-trauma general surgical emergencies. NUMC has a fully approved surgical residency and teaching responsibilities with surgical residents and medical students are an integral part of the program.
