- The registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents.
- Knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained.
- This position has basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
- Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.
- Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
- Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
- Job Requirements
- 2+ years of Med Surg Experience - Required
- Oncology Experience - Required
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) - Required
- Travel Experience - Highly Preferred
- Epic Experience - Preferred
- Work History
- Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
