Description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H + H/Queens has an exciting opportunity for a full time Geriatrician in the Department of Ambulatory Care.

New York City Health + Hospitals/Queens has served a culturally rich and diverse community for nearly a century. In 2007, the hospital opened an ultramodern Ambulatory Care Pavilion that hosts the Geriatric Service.

The candidate should be comfortable taking care of frail older patients with multiple comorbidities, have excellent clinical and communication skills, work well in a team, and enjoy teaching. The Department of Ambulatory Care at NYC H+H/Queens believes in the importance of early geriatric education, reflected by having medical interns rotate through the Geriatric Service throughout the year.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work in our modern Ambulatory Geriatric Service, with a multi-disciplinary team of Geriatricians, nurses, social work, clerical and administrative staff. In addition, he/she will have the collaborative support of all the other specialties.

Candidates must have a MD degree and be board certified/board eligible with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Experience in research and/or quality improvement would be an asset.

We also offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications.

Please send CV along with a brief description of career interests and goals to:
