Job Description:
Under the leadership of the Director, Financial Services, the Senior Financial Analyst is expected to partner with directors and leadership to review operations, prepare analysis and assist in incorporating it into operational decisions. The analyst is expected to have a deep understanding of the key performance indicators (KPIs) in their division, and are responsible for the development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of those KPIs to both department directors and leadership. The analyst is expected to partner with the departmental directors to have a thorough understanding of Management Operating Reports. The analyst is responsible for monthly financial analysis for assigned areas as well as specific project work that is for Montage Health & Related entities such as productivity reporting, net patient revenue analysis, cost report management, long range financial reporting, Workday optimization, enterprise initiatives, and HCAI or other government reporting.
Responsibilities
Finance subject matter expert (SME) for assigned areas; including statistics, revenue, labor, non-wage expenses and capital projects.
- Monthly analysis of all assigned areas for variances to budget to support EET month-end close analysis.
- Management Operating Report review and support for assigned areas.
- Review of expenses in assigned areas to ensure accruals are materially correct.
- Partner with assigned areas to ensure budgets are completed timely.
- Collaborate with all of FIN to provide support for processes and information on changes taking place in the departments that have a broad impact
- Ensure a working knowledge of Premier, Epic, Workday, Productivity, A/P, Capitalization and other systems/processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Additional reporting needs as requested.
- Ensure consistency with other Sr. Financial Analysts
- Participate in enterprise committees or initiatives as appropriate.
- Provide coverage for colleagues when they are OOO.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years related work experience. Strong computer skills. Microsoft Office and database management experience. Strong communication skills and experience with management decision making required. Workday experience preferred.
Education
A bachelor's degree is required; business, finance or accounting preferred.
Licensure/Certifications
Not required, but CPA, CMA, HFMA or other designations are preferred.
