Position qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.  Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience preferred.  A solid understanding of grants systems and budgets as they relate to proposals and grants is required.  Previous experience in management is strongly preferred.

 

Job purpose:

Provides support to the Mind Springs Foundation and Development Team and is responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant systems and processes for organization. This individual plays an important role in increasing revenue for Mind Springs, Inc. with a focus on grant writing, grant system creation and improvement, process flows across departments, and stewardship of existing Foundation and Corporate partnerships.  The candidate selected for this role will develop compelling proposals and grant leadership that will result in funding for the immediate and long-term goals of Mind Springs Health and West Springs Hospital.  This position requires strong writing, data analysis, program management skills, with an emphasis on outcome measurement.

  • Strategic thinker, analytical, and proactive individual with a proven track record of success in writing foundation and/or corporate grants.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized to succeed in a demanding, impact focused environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, be adaptable in a growing organization.
  • Outstanding communication and highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to be persuasive in both written and verbal communications with strong and thoughtful customer service orientation.
  • Must develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
  • Ability to remain professional and positive while multi-tasking as accuracy, attention to detail, deadlines, and prioritization is maintained.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and diplomatic skills with strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and work additional hours during critical times.  Some evening and weekend hours are required.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including computer keyboard, calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop.  Must have the ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer.  Employee must be able to travel between Mind Springs sites.  May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught, and/or intoxicated individuals with possible mental health conditions. Possible exposure to communicable disease.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
