Position qualifications:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Hospital/Healthcare Administration and/or CPA license strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Minimum ten (10) years previous accounting experience, with a minimum of five (5) years previous experience in a comparable position and five (5) years previous experience in a lower level accounting position required; Community Mental Health and/or hospital experience highly desirable, as well as experience with multi-company accounting practices; previous accounting experience and development of appropriate management reporting strategies required; must have excellent team building skills, communication skills, management and leadership skills; previous experience working with a Board of Directors and working in a competitive healthcare market.
Job purpose:
Responsible for the effective management and operation of the Mind Springs Health's accounting systems for all parent and subsidiary organizations. Ultimately responsibility for planning, directing and controlling the organization's overall business operations including finance, accounting, revenue cycle management, real estate development and maintenance, general and professional insurance, employee benefit package, purchasing, and banking and lending relationships. In addition, the CFO is responsible for the design, development, instruction, and distribution of all financial reports of the organization as requested by the Board and Senior Management Team. Must work in participatory manner as member of Senior Management and support the organization's customer service orientation.
Oversees the management of the organization's insurance programs; reviews financial analysis and monthly financial statements as prepared by the Controller and Accounting staff. Provides all operating and/or financial reports in management friendly formats. Analyzes the costs of the organization and prepares trend analyses and pattern analyses, including, but not limited to, Administrative and Clinical service costs. Assures that Business Operations conform to all generally accepted accounting principles and serves as Corporate liaison to an Independent Auditing firm. In addition, the Facility Department reports to this position.

- Ability to provide leadership both independently and as a member of management teams in decision making, implementation, and quality compliance.

- Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer. Employee must be able to travel between Mind Springs Health sites. Possible potential for exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
