- 8's and 12's varied starts 7-3:30, 3-11:30, 11-7:30
- Every other weekend requirement
- No call requirement
- Holiday work every other or as needed
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit: Pregnancy & Birth Center - L&D/PP- Level 2
- 20 L&D Beds including PP
- 3-5 triage beds
- 1000 births a year
- Ratios: L&D 1:1 or sometimes 2:1, PP 304 mother-baby couplets, Level II Nursery 1-3 infant per 1 RN
- C-section: Labor nurse, no scrubbing, required to Circulate
- Floating: All nurses are required to work PP
- Additional Details
- Charge Nurse is also Triage Nurse
- PCT's - Surgical Tech's not shared with OR
- Tele duties: Nurses must be able to read and interpret strips.
- Vents only required in Nursery
- OB/Neonatologist in house information
- IV Team specifics
- RT and Pharmacy availability 24/7
- Floor specific orientation is 2-3 shifts
- Common diagnosis/Types of patients include High risk, feeder and growers
- Baby friendly facility, supports breastfeeding
