Certification Details
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required
• Must pass DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours of acceptance with a maximum of 2 attempts

Job Details
• A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced ER nurses for a travel contract.
• The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, have trauma experience.

Job Requirements
• Require 2 years of experience in ER
• Trauma experience necessary
• Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH and CA License

Schedule Information
• 12 hr shifts
• Shift starts at 6:45
• Report is at the bedside
• OT and extra shifts are available
• Self-scheduling system
• Schedules are released 4 weeks in advance
• Travelers can make themselves "available" for extra shifts and trade with staff
• Block scheduling is generally not available
• Work every other weekend
• Rotate in with core staff for holidays

Unit Specific Information
• Unit: ED
• - # beds: 30, 5 trauma bays
• - Ratios: 1:4
• - EMR: Cerner
• - Charge Nurse role explained
• - Nurse Aides provided based on staffing
• - Tele capability required
• - Ventilator experience required
• - Various support staff availability discussed

Additional Details
• Modules required before start, take 3-4 hours (not billable)
• Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) with the final scheduling decision made by the managers
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Primary trauma center
