Job Details
• A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Med/Surg Oncology RN for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience.

Job Requirements
• MUST have 2-3 years in specialty.
• MUST be a team player AND have travel experience.

Schedule Information
• 12 hr shifts 6:45-7:15.
• 4 weekend shifts in 4 week schedule.

Unit Specific Information
• Unit: Medsurg Oncology
• Nights, EOW, First to Float

Additional Details
• BLS, COVID Vaccine Required (Certification).
• # beds-17 beds.
• Ratios-1 to 5 could be 1 to 4 if one of patients is getting chemo.
• EMR - Cerner.
• Charge Nurse - clinical supervisor who will not take pt assignment, will fill in as break relief.
• Nurse Aides-1 nurse aide on for 8 hrs of days.
• Holidays - work into perm staff rotation.
• Scrub Color - navy.
• Tele - portable tele box as needed, they do have monitor tech, nurses must be able to read and interpret, will have to take dysrhythmia exam.
• Vents - No.
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house - hosp -24/7.
• IV Team - no.
• RT 24/7 - yes.
• Pharmacy 24/7 - yes.
• Floating - to tele 1 to 4 ratio, could also float between medsurg floors.
• Floor specific orientation - 1 shift on unit.
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients - mostly oncology patients but may have some overflow medsurg.
