Certification Details
• ACLS, BLS required.
• COVID Vaccine Required.
• NIHSS required.
• PALS preferred.

Job Details
• A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment.
• The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience and hold an active CA license.

Job Requirements
• Must have 2+ years of ICU experience.
• Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred).
• Must have experience with ICP monitoring and ventrics.
• Candidates must have experience with trauma, neuro-strokes, head injuries, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring, and post-TPA patients.

Schedule Information
• 12 hr shifts, schedules made out about 6 weeks in advance.
• Every other weekend requirement.

Unit Specific Information
• ICU: 30 beds.
• Ratios: 1 to 1-2, 90% of the time will be 1 to 2 ratio.
• Charge Nurse present without patient assignments.
• Floating may be required to any of the telemetry or med-surg units.
• Floor specific orientation: 1 day on unit.
• Common diagnosis/Types of patients: trauma - travelers must have this experience, neuro-strokes, head injuries, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring.

Additional Details
• Must have experience with trauma, neuro-strokes, head injuries.
• Candidates must be able to work very hard on this fast-paced unit.
• Must be open to asking questions or asking for help if needed.
• Must be able to get along well with others.
• Hospital has a very robust interventional radiology program.
• Traveler friendly.
