- Job Details
- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment.
- The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience and hold an active CA license.
- Job Requirements
- Must have 2+ years of ICU experience.
- Hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred).
- Must have experience with ICP monitoring and ventrics.
- Candidates must have experience with trauma, neuro-strokes, head injuries, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring, and post-TPA patients.
- Schedule Information
- 12 hr shifts, schedules made out about 6 weeks in advance.
- Every other weekend requirement.
- Unit Specific Information
- ICU: 30 beds.
- Ratios: 1 to 1-2, 90% of the time will be 1 to 2 ratio.
- Charge Nurse present without patient assignments.
- Floating may be required to any of the telemetry or med-surg units.
- Floor specific orientation: 1 day on unit.
- Common diagnosis/Types of patients: trauma - travelers must have this experience, neuro-strokes, head injuries, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring.
- Additional Details
- Must have experience with trauma, neuro-strokes, head injuries.
- Candidates must be able to work very hard on this fast-paced unit.
- Must be open to asking questions or asking for help if needed.
- Must be able to get along well with others.
- Hospital has a very robust interventional radiology program.
- Traveler friendly.
