- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS - Basic Life Support Certification required.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required for certain units.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification required for certain units.
- State License 1 Verification required.
- NURSYS Verification required for RNs.
- Additional Certification requirements for ICU, ER, and Telemetry RNs.
- Job Details
- M-F 8 hour days between 0600 and 1630.
- Call 1530-0700 two nights/week and 0700-0700 every third weekend.
- Weekend call is F-Sa-Su.
- Demonstrates the ability to care for the patient undergoing invasive procedures including insertion, monitoring and care of the catheter.
- Demonstrates the ability to titrate intravenous medications according to the patient's hemodynamic status.
- Demonstrates the ability to care for the patient with continuous cardiac monitoring including rhythm identification, interpretation, and follow through with appropriate intervention.
- Maintains good sterile technique throughout the procedure by diligent observation, instruction and supervision in the use of sterile technique.
- Assures that all areas of procedure documentation are complete and accurate.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of ancillary equipment.
- Correctly collects and accurately labels specimens.
- Assesses, evaluates, and carries out nursing interventions and teaching in patients receiving treatment and/or undergoing diagnostic procedures.
- Communicates clinically relevant information to the physician performing the procedure.
- Participates in on-call schedule, working as needed after normal operating hours.
