Overview:

 

Assures the delivery of safe and quality and cost-efficient care by competent staff member on OB unit. Insures efficient utilization of available resources and meets productivity and financial goals. Meets patient and customer satisfaction goals. Works collaboratively and effectively with other administrative personnel, physicians and staff from other areas throughout the Health System to enhance communication, share pertinent data and improve process across the continuum. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of approved School of Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current RN license or temporary work permit in the applicable state of practice.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of OB experience.
  • Certification/Registration: BLS.
  • Other Skills & Knowledge (skills, knowledge, abilities): Demonstrates skill in human relations and communication skills in both written and verbal. Demonstrates clinical expertise in patient care and delivery. Possess the ability to assess data in word or excel documents. Assist personnel in providing quality patient, visitor and employee care.
  • Preferred Education: BS or Master's prepared in Nursing.
  • Preferred Licensure: Current Missouri Nursing license or temporary working permit.
  • Preferred Experience: 5-7 years of management experience in a hospital setting.
  • Preferred Certification/Registration: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS.
  • Preferred Other Skills & Knowledge (skills, knowledge, abilities): Experience and ability to public speak using PowerPoint presentation.
