Overview:
Mercy South OR conducts a variety of cases including Orthopedics, Neurology, General and Vascular. RN's are typically hired into one of these specialty pods, and may have the opportunity to cross-train to other pods in the department.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Licensure: Current Missouri licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse required for this position. New Graduate RN's are not eligible.
- Certifications: BLS certified
Other: Completes Hospital and nursing competency within 3 months of employment and annually, submits to Nurse Manager/Education Coordinator.
Preferred Education: BSN
Preferred Experience: Two (2) years of OR experience. Ortho and Neuro experience preferred.
Preferred Certifications: ACLS
