Overview:

The Health Economics and Performance Optimization Principal Analyst is responsible for delivery of the analytical solutions for large-scale strategic initiatives within the Mercy ministry and that solutions are delivered on time, within scope and with high degree of quality, reliability, and integrity.

The Principal Analyst is responsible for the overall coordination of analytical solutions in partnership with external partners and stakeholders and will assist in strategic development of analytical and data solutions for Population Health Economics and the Primary Care Performance Division.

Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Fifteen years of analytics experience. Five years relevant experience in health care – provider or payor.
  • Required Education: Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, economics, health management or related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Certifications: Epic data model certification or obtain within 6-months of hire date.
    Certification in Mercys health economics platform within 6-months of hire date
  • Other: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    Highly proficient with development of BI applications, e.g., PowerBI, Tableau 
    Highly proficient in programming language, e.g., SQL, SAS, R
    Lead and facilitate work independently and operate as an initiative-taker.
    Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills, developing and delivering analytical solutions for large strategic initiatives.
    Coaching and mentoring, conflict resolutions and critical thinking.
