Overview:
Mercy Women & Children's is a comprehensive service line that includes 12 Labor & Delivery Suites, 2 Obstetric Operating Suites, 6 High Risk Perinatal Suites, 14 Mother/Baby Couplet Care Suites, a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with 19 private suites and special suites for multiples and a 20-bed Pediatric/GYN/Surgical unit.
The Prenatal Nurse Navigator serves as a guide, knowledge expert and resource for expectant moms throughout pregnancy. With intimate knowledge of Mercy hospital, clinics and providers and systems, the nurse will provide clinical and non-clinical support to patients to achieve the objectives of the program; improved patient engagement in education, improved patient retention and improved patient and provider satisfaction.
Through consistent communication with patients, plus routine data collection, analysis and reporting, the nurse supplies leadership with information for strategic planning. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arkansas.
- Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of direct patient care in Labor and Birth and Mother/Baby services; experience in adult education preferred
