Overview:
Under the direction of a physician's order, you will plan and implement specific physical/occupational therapy evaluation and treatment programs. The treatment is based on the patient's physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs. You will provide advisory services to other team members to ensure quality patient care. This role functions under the direct supervision of the Director and Assistant Director and includes performing related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited B.S. degree program in Physical Therapy and have passed the national registration exam.
- Licensure: Must hold current licensure in the State of Missouri.
- Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Card or complete a course within the probation period.
- Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: General knowledge of evaluation and treatment principles for a diverse range of diagnoses.
- Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Patient care may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing. Physical demands include pushing up to 40 lbs., pulling 60 lbs., gripping up to 50 lbs., pinching up to 15 lbs., and minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Equipment Used: Occasionally work with office equipment such as copy machines, telephones, and computers. Must demonstrate competency in equipment used for the delivery of modalities.
