Overview:

 

Our Housekeeping Team helps create a lasting impression of our hospital to patients and visitors! The housekeeping staff are a crucial part of ensuring each and every patient is provided a clean, quiet, and calming environment. Mercy housekeepers regularly interact with our patients, visitors, and coworkers in a warm and frienldly manner.

 

  The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.
  • Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Other: The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums thatmust be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
