Mercy Southeast Earn As You Learn Program!
- Earn wages at Mercy Southeast as a Nurse Technician while completing your senior practicum!
- This program is for May 2025 nursing graduates only.
- You must commit to staying with Mercy as a graduate nurse resident for at least six months after graduation..
Overview:
As a student in an approved registered nurse or practical nurse school of nursing, the Earn As You Learn (EAYL) student participates in clinical course work under the direction of an RN. The EAYL student assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient's highest level of wellness working cooperatively with others as part of the healthcare team and performs designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks within the scope of the designated nursing school program.
Qualifications:
Education: Enrolled in an approved registered or practical nursing program
Experience: Successful completion of foundations of nursing course
Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support Certified
Other: Minimum Physical Requirements
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
