Overview:
Director for Cardiovascular Services at Mercy Hospital South. Operational responsibility will include Cardiac Catheterization lab, Electrophysiology Lab, Interventional Radiology, Cardiovascular OR and Vascular OR. Directs the quality and resource management for areas of responsibility. Accountable to ensure implementation of current standards of practice and care. Works collaboratively with the physicians and other departments to achieve quality patient outcomes. Responsible for compliance with licensing and regulatory standards. Promotes professional nursing practice by ensuring competency validation and providing ongoing clinical continuing education opportunities. Participates in the development and implementation of strategic and business plans for areas of responsibility. This position reports to the Executive Director of Operations at Mercy South. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience of 2-4 years of a Nurse Manager in a hospital of comparable size and/or accountability.
- Required Education: BSN Graduate of an approved College of Nursing.
- Preferred Education: Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration or related field, or plan for completion within a specific period of time.
