Overview:
The Asst Manager-Food Service is responsible for the oversight of all retail food and culinary services. This role is directly responsible for all food service operational and service standards within the area of responsibility. This individual must perform responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years of supervisory experience with 1 year food service.
- Certification/Registration:
- Jefferson: Food Handlers within 90 days of hire.
- St. Louis/South: Serve Safe Manager within 90 days of hire.
- Springfield: Serve Safe Manager within 90 days of hire.
- Washington: Serve Safe Manager within 90 days of hire.
- Other:
- Able to demonstrate sufficient proficiency in English to complete training, standards for performance expectations and communicate effectively with staff and patients.
- Proficiency in computer skills with ability to use basic software, spreadsheets, and room service software.
- Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles for service excellent.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred Experience: 5 years supervisory experience with 2 years food service experience.
- Preferred Certification/Registration: Certified Dietary Manager or Registered and Licensed Dietitian
